Just finished reading Marvel's Civil War.
The gist of it is:
All (domestic) superheroes have to be registered and paid by the US government. Some see this as an erosion of their civil liberties and increasing security at the cost of freedom. The leader of this faction is Captain America. Leader of the pro-government faction is Iron Man. Obvious analogies to current affairs.
Mark Millar, who wrote it, said he tried to make both sides as balanced as possible. Clearly (if you read it) this is shit, everyone is rooting for Cap.
Anyway, the only reason I wrote this (AFASIK I am the only comic fan among us), is to tell you all Iron Man is a dick.

Maybe, but Robert Downey Jr plays him in the movie...with Jeff Bridges too. Sadly, that talentless crone Gwyneth Paltrow is in it also but maybe Iron Man will render her to somewhere nice for a spot of ticking bomb torture.
you people are retards. iron man sees a horrid future coming. a future where humans fear of hero's turns them against them. and though he knows registration is wrong(in fact at first was openly against it, but after Stamford...) he sees it as a necessary. whats better, a registration and cooperation program now, or concentration camps and population cleansing in the future.
as for the movie, it will be incredible, especially sense the actor, Robert Downy jr., has several quality's in his own life which mirror tony starks in many ways. on top of that, the trailer has been one of the most veiw trailers on the internet.

Iron Man is a damned traitor. He should be decapitated with Cap's shield. Captain America is defending FREEDOM, no matter what threat lies ahead. Liberty is what this country was founded on. Would you register?
